Beautiful Emily

I swear I don’t only allow gorgeous people at Bosley Creative – I just have had such good luck!  This is Emily – she is going to be a senior at Millard North this year.  I can’t even say enough great things about her.  (and a little shout out for her mama – not only are they amazing people – changing lives every day of girls out at Boys Town – but when they walked up – I seriously wasn’t sure which one the mom was – I was totally caught off guard – she was super tiny and cute just like all the rest of them!)

Emily was a total sweet heart and her choice in outfits was perfect!  Not to mention – she is an absolute beauty and a natural in front of the camera – check ’em out…

Last week I got to do a really special maternity shoot.  There are 2 parts of this story that I want to share.

I met with Lindsey and her husband John and their 2 year old Lyla the other day for a maternity shoot.  Lindsey shows up and is absolutely gorgeous – and 30 weeks along!  We had such a great time on the shoot – they were wonderful – Lyla was wonderful and the shoot went perfectly.   Their faith is incredible and it just radiates from them. I felt so blessed to have met them.

The 2nd part of this story – why it was such an incredibly special shoot was because it was a NILMDTS shoot.  Lindsey had contacted me a few weeks ago because they had found out at 20 weeks that their baby had Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 2.  Most likely they will lose their little girl minutes or hours after birth.  The time they have with Evie is now – while she is pregnant – it is the time they get to spend as a family and the time Lindsey gets to feel her move and carry her.  I felt like it was incredibly important that they had a photo shoot during this time.  We will also do another after Evie is born and Lindsey has been kind enough to let me share her story and her pictures with everyone.  I hope this gives you a little better glimpse as to what NILMDTS is – and how it can be so healing to so many families.

Jackson’s 2nd Birthday!

My baby boy turned 2 on July 18th.  It was surprisingly a really hard day for me – Jackson is my baby and it is crazy to think that two years has gone by.  Because of everyone’s schedules this summer it just didn’t work out to have a big birthday party for him so we just had Grandma Barbie and Gp. GB and Gama come out to my parents house (I swear we really do eat a lot of meals at our own home too).  It was one of the best birthdays – the whole day was super relaxed and fun for Jax.  In the morning he opened his presents outside in his jammies. Although when he opened his really cool Spartans shorts from him Aunt Stephie he had to put them on right away.

Uh oh – summer break is almost over!

Moments like these make me love my life more than anything.

Moments like these make me love my life more than anything.

Every summer I panic the last couple weeks of summer and realize we really haven’t done any of the things I wanted to do over break.  So the other week the kids and I went to the zoo – it was the most gorgeous day out – we had nothing that night so we could stay as long as we wanted and we had soooo much fun.  The extra bonus – Boppa happened to be working in the elephant house that day and so we got to see him and the guy even let us down in it and gave us a little tour.  Again – Boppa is the man. 🙂

Jackson is such a tough guy - but the most random things scare him - like this goat for instance.

After the zoo we all went out to Nana and Boppa’s for dinner (yes – we do this about every free chance we get) – and Kobe and Boppa built a table for the tree house.  Then we sent out their dinner to them via zipline.
